Location

Skitchine Lodge provides a unique wilderness experience in a surprisingly accessible location.

Skitchine Lodge is located on Dagger Lake in the Bonaparte Provincial Park, approximately 80km (50miles) northwest of Kamloops, British Columbia. Private vehicles are not allowed within the park boundaries, so access to the Lodge is arranged from a vehicle drop-off area outside the park.

Total travel time from central Kamloops to the lodge is approximately two hours.

Kamloops is easily reached by airline or by vehicle. It is less than a single day drive on major highways from Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Seattle, and has regular scheduled flights arriving at the Kamloops Airport (YKA).

At Skitchine Lodge our unique location means that our guests and members can be fishing or relaxing in pristine wilderness the same day they travel.

Dining

Our exceptional chef Terri Bowles chooses from the freshest available ingredients, many of them local or even grown on site, to bring you an always changing menu.

Hearty breakfasts and gourmet dinners are served in the main lodge. “To-go” lunches are provided so guests can maximize time spent fishing or adventuring away from the lodge.

The dining area in the main lodge is surrounded by windows providing panoramic views of the lake. Our guests agree: the only thing better than the view from the dining room is the superb food that is served there.

Accommodations

Guests stay in one of our beautiful private cabins or in large rooms in the main lodge. The lodge is the heart of Skitchine, and you’ll eat, drink, and relax here whether you stay in a cabin or a lodge room.

Adjacent to the dining area, the main lodge has a roomy lounge complete with a well stocked bar. The lodge also features a large wrap around deck, perfect for swapping tales after a day of fishing, sipping a cocktail from the bar before dinner, or simply taking in the incredible views.

At Skitchine Lodge our facilities are first class, including hot showers and baths, and well-appointed rooms. We provide everything to make your stay comfortable. Fresh linens, towels and all the modern conveniences are standard.

When at capacity, Skitchine Lodge can hold 16 guests. It never gets crowded. There’s plenty of room to accommodate family and friends, with pristine wilderness only a step away.

Lodge Rooms

The upper floor of the lodge comprises 4 guest rooms. The rooms have shared access to two full bathrooms: one along side the rooms on the upper floor and the other on the main floor below.

All of our lodge rooms have closets, drawers and personal sinks and mirrors. Lodge room linens and towels are provided with complimentary shampoo, soap and body wash.

Cabins

Perfect for a family or group of friends, each cabin is completely self-contained and designed to accommodate three to five guests. Special touches like sky lights and large decks accent the already exemplary accommodations.
